"The USAFE Enlisted Heritage website was created to inspire interest in the rich legacy of Airmen assigned to the Air Force's oldest command. To promote a shared understanding of AF history helps fellow Airmen understand how and why our service department has successfully and rapidly evolved into the world's most powerful Air Force. This knowledge creates unity and a shared sense of mission amongst members of our service. It also gives fellow Airmen the tools to better communicate the Air Force's legacy to our families and our civilian community who, in turn, will not only provide us with support but will hopefully yield the future generation of Airmen."
