I really enjoyed my 6+ years as a "ditty bop". First assignment at 6913th ESS in Augsburg, (West) Germany was with a mobile unit...driving trucks, sleeping in tents and working out of huts on deployments a lot up on the border. 2nd assignment was with the 6949th ESS at Offutt AFB, NE flying on RC-135's. 3 different survival schools, CENTAM missions with TDY's to England & Midway Island. Last assignment was to 6931st ESS at Iraklion AS, Crete. We had our own base beach, lots of sun, history and cave exploring. Was blessed to have such diverse assignments... made a lot of great friends and memories to last a couple of lifetimes. Please feel free to email me.
