A FACP is a Forward Air Control Post. It's a bunch of folks doing the best job possible, under the worst conditions, and always coming out on top. It's the toughest job in the United States Air Force and gets little acknowledgement, and less praise. Individuals who have served in one never forget it, the friends they made there, or the amazing abilities that the assignment pulled out of and developed in them. Of all the assignments I had over 24 years, 6 months and 1 day in the US Air Force my first one, at the 631st Tactical Control Flight, Wuerzburg AIN, W. Germany, will always stand out as the best.
